- Analysis:
Zhuge Liang's C3 EX was good in Warriors Orochi 3, containing two elemental activations with an area of effect. But the execution time is really poor and absorption is usually nerfed with his initial C3 peon clearing already while the EX has the most absorption potential. I personally think elemental on him is outdated, so he needed an update to keep up with the pace in Ultimate.
Zhuge Liang is another on of those 'mobile' Wonder character. He is able to perform JA followed up by a JC (JA-JC) in on aerial setting, allowing him to stack damage and stagger airborne officers from aerial recovery. If Zhuge Liang performs JA-JC-WD-repeat fast enough, he won't lose altitude!
Zhuge Liang's offense consist of JC laser beams and his ability to cancel movesets quickly in the air. Combination of JC-WD-repeat and JA-JC-WD-repeat are all he needs to eliminate officers and crowds. Sometimes he can throw in stacks of Air R1 in between JA-JC-WD to give airborne enemy officers hell, preventing them from aerial recovery and retaliating. It is quite the nasty effect and very fun to see. After Aggression, Musou and C3 EX has very nice damage outputs as well, but be careful when using C3 EX in dense crowds or running peons if he does not have Bastion active.
Air R1 has a nice utility of maintaining combos as well, this can be used just to run around while searching for crowds to prevent combos from disappearing.
Zhuge Liang has self-Impact, so his Musou sustaining won't be a problem. Especially when his aerial WD triggers so many combo counts for Alacrity. Ultimately, Zhuge Liang is pretty safe and sustainable in Free mode, but Bastion can be used over Courage for extra defense in both Free and definitely Gauntlet Mode.
Storm has many beneficial utilities, one of which is grounding enemies despite the moveset knocks (not lifts) enemies off the ground.
