A Blaze of Glory - Mortal Empires Vampire Counts Campaign Part 30
4Welcome everyone to the Mortal Empires campaign for Total War: Warhammer 2. In this campaign I will be playing as Mannfred von Carstein of the Vampire Counts, seeking to spread unlife across the Old and New Worlds. This campaign is not going to be modded at all, not even quality of life or camera mods, as I'm looking for the pure vanilla experience here. A summary of important events and links to battles will be provided below.
In part 30 we give the campaign a fond farewell with a series of major victories against our many foes. I'm open to continuing the campaign in the future, but for now at least, this is the end. We begin the end properly with a victory over the Dawi, as Ghorst kills Gorazin Dammin and his army after the dwarf advanced too far. Maldwyn overruns Mousillon and begins raiding the settlement, hoping to reawaken the Red Duke via a rebellion, but this ultimately fails. A High Elf army approaches him under Vanya, and Maldwyn destroys her force completely. Kemmler does the same to a small Lizardmen force near Marienburg under Ni-Glaxi, while Mannfred chases Volkmar the Grim to Kemperbad, where the priest seeks shelter. Undeterred and frustrated by the chase, Mannfred's army crushes the Imperials, conquering Kemperbad. In the south Vlad and Ghorst push back against the Dawi and catch the army of Morgrim Drakk-Slayer out of position and slay it to the last dwarf. The two then repeat the same trick with Ungrim Ironfist, destroying his army and leaving the legendary lord wounded. After Balthasar Gelt circles back to Zavastra and captures it, Fremont von Carstein challenges the great wizard and crushes him, retaking the settlement almost instantly and ending our campaign with victory - at least for now.
It's been a fun campaign, if you have an interest in me continuing it in the future please leave a comment saying so, but for now I'm going to be putting it on hold in favor of starting a Steel Faith Overhaul 2 campaign with the Tomb Kings.
