Ending Thegan's Errantry - Tomb Kings Steel Faith Vortex Campaign Part 6
9Welcome everyone to Total War Warhammer II, along with the Steel Faith Overhaul 2 and the Vortex Campaign Custom Maps mods. Steel Faith is a major overhaul mod that rebalances units, buildings, garrisons, and all sorts of details across the entire game, and VCCM is a collection of community-created battle maps that continues to update over time - links to both mods in the Steam Workshop are below. In this campaign we play as Settra the Imperishable as he seeks to find the lost books of Nagash while the Vortex is disrupted. Summaries of each session will be below, as will time stamps for the beginnings of battles.
In part 6 we crush the Bretonnian forces of Thegan's Errantry. As Settra and Wakhaf move to attack their homelands, Rakhash is unable to prevent an assault by Baron Thegan on Zandri. Our garrison puts up a valiant defense, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy, but is overcome and the port is sacked. King Rakhash is able to fall upon our enemy's weakened forces, and Baron Thegan falls along with most of his army, leaving only a tiny, depleted force to run. Settra meanwhile charges the walls at the settlement of Martek, overcoming the garrison in a short but intense battle, while Wakhaf catches up. The two armies together then charge the walls at Al Haikk, as Rakhash pursues the remnants of Baron Thegan's force. After another bloody battle, the Bretonnian forces flee in terror, and Rakhash overruns the few remnants in the field to end the session.
