We Do Not Serve - Tomb Kings Steel Faith Vortex Campaign Part 1
21Welcome everyone to Total War Warhammer II, along with the Steel Faith Overhaul 2 and the Vortex Campaign Custom Maps mods. Steel Faith is a major overhaul mod that rebalances units, buildings, garrisons, and all sorts of details across the entire game, and VCCM is a collection of community-created battle maps that continues to update over time - links to both mods in the Steam Workshop are below. In this campaign we play as Settra the Imperishable as he seeks to find the lost books of Nagash while the Vortex is disrupted. Summaries of each session will be below, as will time stamps for the beginnings of battles.
In part 1, we seek to quickly expand our territory as we push back the Top Knotz savages. We begin with the settlement of The Salt Plain to our north, crushing the savage orc garrison without much difficulty. We then turn west to the ruins of the port at Zandri, and Settra suffers a minor curse when he claims a Sword of Bloodshed before colonizing the ruin. We turn east to continue our assault on the savages, building our forces along the way, and a Top Knotz force under Skafag Toof-Taka advances in turn and begins raiding our territory. Settra rides to meet him, and a major battles ensues that narrowly ends in our favor as the savages flee in terror; we pursue and finish them off in a second battle before they can recover. As Settra moves to take the iron mines at Gor Gazan from the savages, King Hakor of the Rakaph Dynasty declares war against us and advances an army toward Zandri. Knowing we can't hold it at the moment, Settra simply sacks Gor Gazan and begins sprinting west to confront King Hakor before he can take the port.
