Black ops 2 was released on November 12, 2012, and is the sequel to the fan favorite Black ops 1. Did Black Ops 2 live up to its predecessor? Or does it fall short? I think you already know the answer. With that said, let's get into it.

Starting off with the UI Menu. After you put on the sick glasses, Black Ops 2 UI menu is straightforward. It gives you 3 options. Multi-player, campaign, and Zombies. Nothing confusing about that. Whatever you're in the mood for, you can find it. For now, let's jump in the Campaign.

My goodness, if you enjoyed Black Ops 1 Campaign, you are for sure going to enjoy Black Ops 2 campaign. Black Ops 2 sees you playing as David Mason, who is the son of Alex Mason, alongside Harper, Salazar, Woods, Alex Mason and Hudson. By the way, without a doubt, after replaying this campaign, Raul Menendez should go down as one of the most iconic antagonists in the call of duty series. I feel like he doesn't get as much credit as he deserves.

With that said, this campaign is amazing. You were able to make choices that actually impact the game, such as deciding to headshot Mason thinking it's Menendez, or shooting Harper or capturing Menendez or killing him and much more. After completing the campaign, not only did this story have branching story lines, it also had 8 different endings. You heard that right, 8 different endings. You also had strike missions you can complete alongside the main storyline. If you completed all the strike missions along with making the correct choices. You get the best ending. I unfortunately did not get the best ending. I got the opposite. The campaign alone is worth purchasing the game, And I haven't even mentioned the multi-player. But before I talk about the Multi-player, I just wanted to show you one of my favorite parts of the campaign, which is the dance floor shoot out mission. The music, slow-mo, and infinite bullets (chief kiss) Just amazing.

Now moving onto the multi-player. Black ops 2 introduced us to the pick 10 system. Meaning you were only able to pick 10 items. If you wanted to, you could have a primary weapon with no attachments and 6 perks. Why, because you can. Modern CoD needs to re-introduce the pick 10 system. On top of that they introduced score streaks. So not only did Kills add up to your score streaks, but also playing the objective. This means if you ran out and captured the flag in domination, you were rewarded for playing the objective. In addition to that, Black Ops 2 had iconic maps such as standoff, raid, hijacked, express, and much more. The Multi-player in Black Ops 2 was just great. Fast paced, with great maps and gun play.

Lastly, we have to talk about zombies. In this video I'm not mentioning the DLC maps. I'm only taking about the base game. Which means, Black Ops 2 zombies launched with only 1 map... Tranzit. Just saying Tranzit, I already hear the bus. Tranzit was the only downside of Black Ops 2. Trayarch wanted to try something new, and it failed. The damn fog, lava everywhere, the bus, and of course the denizens. But there was a bright side to zombies. Town. You see, you were able to play tranzit, or play 3 individual maps within tranzit. You had bus depot, farm, and everyone's favorite, town. Both bus depot and farm did not have pack a punch. But town did. Not only that, the map just flowed better.

With that said, after replying Black ops 2, I have to say this game is amazing. I hope 1 day they remaster Black Ops 2 because it's been over 10 years since its released. I honestly would have to rate Black Ops 2 87/100. It's such a great game. I also just can't wait to see how this story ends when Black ops 3 releases. I bet Black Ops 3 campaign has David Mason returning going on some type of crazy mission....
