- Analysis:
Ginchiyo Tachibana is still pretty good in this game. She didn't get any personal buffs, she didn't get worse, other characters just got better is all. Similarly to characters like Xiahou Ba, Toshiie Maeda, Yoshihiro Shimazu, as well as Oichi.
No matter how much damage modifier she gets, she cannot OHKO higher star generics (with Mystic weapon; without Aggression as well because she cannot use it effectively). However with this more offensive setup, if R1 is accompanied with an initial C1 (C1-R1), then she can get the job done. By doing this, she knocks off about 10~15 seconds of her clear time.
It might seem risky to pull off a C1 against leaping peons, but it really is not that lethal nor difficult. C1 has a delay start up (which is actually good), so with the right distance, peons and officers will run/leap into her lightning barrier as soon as she puts it up. If C1 didn't have any delay, she would have to be so close to the target to the point that she will actually get hurt badly. Sometimes a peon or two will leap inside, but it's not lethal enough to bring her to yellow nor red life.
Avoid using C1 against stationary crowds, multiple officers, and stationary generics or officers that are not Gyuki-clones, chances are that she will get C2 by those pesky generics or crowded to death by peons. This is when she indiscriminately spam R1.
Tri-Element (Bolt, Flame, Ice) is very important on her. Bolt is mandatory because it does fraction damage, but she really needs the extra chip damage from the Flame element or the Ice element to occasionally freeze enemies on the ground to accompany her KOs with R1 and C1-R1 combo.
A quick rundown of her combo KOs on 9 star+ stages:
• C1-R1 will kill generics
• C1-R1+R1 will kill ~1.5x-~2x super generics and officers
• Two full-hit C1-R1 will kill ~3x Kotaro Fuma
I missed my second initial R1 full-hits on Kotaro Fuma in this video, but with this most offensive possible setup, you can gauge on how important Tri-Element is in aiding and securing her KOs against Fuma and super generics.
Remember, if C1-R1 isn't the preferred method of playstyle, Ginchiyo can always revert back to her pure R1 playstyle with the same weapon setup. Remember to change Iron Gauntlet into Amulet of Protection. With that, a more defensive partner build with Sophitia and Katsuie Shibata can be used because she will already be missing out on the KOs with pure R1 playstyle.
