- Analysis:
Musou build is super boring and not practical to play in Free Mode. She is much more fun and effective with this setup. Just a rant, but Technique is complete garbage on her because C1-1 doesn't lift enemies and lifting enemies doesn't benefit her, regardless. The only saving grace from Technique is Heavenly Sash, but even then she has to waste an item slot for it. Heavenly Sash should have been automatically imbued in all Technique characters, just like how Speed type characters don't need an item to Aerial Thrust, etc.
Anyways, C1-1 has pretty good crowd control and clearing abilities and it is the best she will get backed up with pretty strong damage. C1-1 is early execution with two elemental activation. With Heavenly Sash, she can have infinite offense with C1-1-Tech Dash (Heavenly Sash)-repeat. This will allow her to easily combo dead bodies somewhat infinitely until 200. Sometimes a RA transitioning to string outs or just a string out after Tech Dash is useful for fast generating and short burst combos to 200. So it will look something like this: C1-1-Tech Dash-(RA/delay-)S# .
Generating Aggression & Bastion is really helpful for her and really does compensate her lack of absorption by dealing more damage to heal more and taking less damage to replenish less Health needed from the damage taken.
Big-star weapon gives her extra reach. Sometimes her Mystic weapon can activate some 'reach' animations, but it is really random or perhaps a graphic glitch. Personal preference, stick with the Big-star weapon. Mystic weapon might be stronger, but not strong enough to the point to achieve any noticeable #HKOs better than Big-star. I'd prefer the 100% extra reach from Big-star weapon.
Similar to Kasumi, her C1-1 has pretty bad absorption rate by default, except that Nene really does not benefit the reach from Big-star weapon as much as Kasumi for absorption even though Nene has more crowd control coverage. It still helps though.
R1 'buff' is essentially garbage, as it really doesn't deal more damage, it really doesn't help with combo generating, neither does it help her hitbox; in fact, it only makes it worse by lifting enemies so high to the point she misses her C1-1s.
Air R1 is pretty cool with Triple Thrift and has lots of potential if Koei decided to put effort into it. But the hitbox, grab-box, combo count, damage and combo duration is just not friendly for her to use it effectively. It feels like they gyp her combo counts.
