The door opened with a welcoming ring of a bell and the cold spring air was replaced with the steamy warmth of a fire and the sophisticated armoa of coffee flavoured the air. This was Cafe Leblanc, apparently Mr. Sojiro Sakura, the man who would be housing Snake, worked here. Snake took a moment to enjoy the quaint cafe's atmosphere. The sound of an elderly couple debating the news on the TV while enjoying the cafe's blends could be heard, a long with the frustrated grumbles coming from a man who looked to work there, struggling with a crossword.

The news reporter could be seen on the TV with a statistic running next to her. 70 people injured in a the latest of a string public transports accidents, this time with the underground subway. Snake gulped. He had heard rumors of city life and how it could get pretty chaotic but his naive, country mentality didn't prepare him for such a high and common number. Not wanting to make a scene and stand out by being shocked with the news, he scanned the room of faces to see how he should interpret this event. Looking around, he was shocked to see how little the locals actually cared about what was happening on their door step. Could it be because this is just every day life here? Or did you have to take on a different mentality to survive in the city? Snake didn't like the answer to either question. Eventually the couple stood from their table and wished the furrow browed employee a good day before leaving. This was as good as chance as any to find out where his new guardian was.

"Excuse me, Mr. Sakura works here doesn't he? Is he here today?"

The cafe worker made a concious an obvious attempt to ignore the question as he grumbled louder and buried his head further in to his cross word. From this angle, Snake could see the man was already balding. Perhaps is was due to all the overthinking this crossword was giving him, he thought. Snake wasn't used to city folk nor their ways and didn't know how to respond to, well, no response. So he waited. Eventually, after admitting defeat to the crossword, but not wanting to show it to a youth, the man acknowldged Snake in a way to suggest he was interrupting instead.

"Yeah. I'm Sakura."

He was dressed in a salmon pink shirt, Snake had to hold back a grin at realising the cheesy irony in his dress sense. He clearly took pride in his appearance, his pants were rolled high to avoid them being dirtied. He protected his shirt with an apron, which was also spotless, and his hair, while receding, was well maintained. Everything but his irritated tone and the tired look on his face suggested he was very concious about he displayed himself. A prideful man. And considering Snake was not only a youth but one with a criminal record, to say first impressions were going to be positive was quite the impossibility...
