★PERSONA 5★ HARD - Blind Playthrough Part 3 ★School Years Are Your Best Years...★
311The toad of a man occupying the Headmaster's seat sized up the transfer student with his squinted eyes over again. He was bloated with power and with too many cups of ramen and loved to show it.
He took a deep wheezy breath before croaking.
"Y'know... We shouldn't be accepting you. In fact, I can't even think of a single school who WOULD take the likes of YOU in."
He leaned back in his chair resting his stubby hands on his belly while the chair creaked as it strained to take his weight.
"But certain... circumstances, give us some reason to tolerate your presence here. Now listen as I'll only say this once. My word is law. You'll do what I say, when I say, you got it?"
Every one here seemed to love finishing their sentences that way. Snake was practically able to predict the next words to follow and so nodded his head as he'd rehearsed this part of the script about 5 times today already.
The toad seemed unconvinced but was a sucker for obedience, even if obviously feined and so his ego was satisfied. Sakura, who had his head down the whole conversation tilted his hat up and faced the room. No doubt waking from a power nap.
"If we're done here I'd like to get back to work, I've got a shop to take care of. I'm in the resturaunt business y'know."
The headmaster gave a pompous nod of dismissal to the coffee scented man and side eyed Snake as they made they way for the door.
Leaving the school grounds and being back in the car, both Snake and Sakura gave a sigh of relief as they sunk in to their seats. Sakura slyly glanced at the youth to see if he noticed before jumping back in to warden mode.
"Ahem, ugh! This traffic is terrible! Dammit, from tomorrow you're taking the train to school, you got that?"
Snake turned to Sakura with a look that said "really?" after a moment, Sakura's edge began to wane.
"So... How was it? School I mean. Think you'll manage?"
"It'll be fine. Seems fun even!"
Sakura didn't know whether to show relief that the kid was okay or frustration at how lightly he was taking this situation so he sputtered a somewhat confused chuckle.
"Alright hot shot. Let's head back, I'll fix us up today's speical blend, I'm expecting it'll sell out fast today, if this damn traffic would move!"
Snake slyly glanced to Sakura to see if he noticed his smile as Sakura joined in the chorus of car horns trumpetting down the street.
